Colin G. Furlow

Associate Attorney

“The law is a powerful tool for combating abuses. Since well-resourced corporations don’t always have your best interests in mind, it’s my privilege to advocate for your rights so as to make the world a more equitable place.”

Colin Furlow is a 2017 graduate of the University of California Berkeley School of Law, where he served as a director for the school’s competitive Alternative Dispute Resolution team and a staff editor for the Berkeley Business Law Journal. While there, he was also an active contributor to the East Bay Community Law Center’s tenant rights clinic, advocating for low-income tenants in disputes against their landlords.

Prior to joining Cole & Van Note, Mr. Furlow worked at a large international law firm counseling London-based insurance companies in response to data breaches and other privacy, technology, and professional liability matters. He has facilitated incident response for hundreds of data breaches, ranging from those affecting small local enterprises to multinational corporations and major healthcare providers. He also strives to maintain an active pro bono practice, including representing tenants and victims of domestic violence, as well as advising clients on matters related to consumer debt relief.
